Over the last year I made many personalized mix “tapes” for individual friends. These mixes of other people’s music were carefully sequenced and crossfaded. I attempted to create hour-long continuous statements greater than the sum of their song-parts. They also included short segments of my own tape noise/abstract/casio/found/field recordings to create contrasts and segues between the songs.

Here are 21 original segments from my 2020-21 mixes, sequenced in the order in which they first appeared. They were made especially for the mixes or at least recorded contemporaneously, with the exception of 2 that I pulled from my archives of 2012 and 2014.

Listen however you like, but my intention was for this EP to be a continuous 25-minute statement for your headphones while you're out and about. I want the outside world to seep in and interact. For easier digestion, I’ve arranged the segments into 5 continuous tracks.
